We rehearsed the singing for 'I Love To Cry At Weddings,' we also rehearsed the scene which leads up to this song.

Evaluation of Showcase 8th and 9th December

8th December

Today we rehearsed in the dance studio for tonight's and tomorrow's showcase so we felt prepared for the performances, meaning we practised Big Spender and Rhythm of Life, an improvement for Big Spender was to sing louder as we were all confident in the movements for Big Spender, for Rhythm of Life we also need to be louder. In this rehearsal we figured out how to get the ballet barres and chairs onstage for Big Spender, we did this by carrying the barres from the side of the audience and the chairs were pulled on from the wings as they could fit backstage.

3rd December

This was our dress rehearsal, we started with Big Spender where I found that my costume and a few other people's did not fit in with the general theme of the costumes. Afterwards we rehearsed Rhythm of Life in costume, both these rehearsals were in preparation for the winter showcase which was taking place the following Monday and Tuesday, we performed in it to advertise the production that we are creating. The thing that we need to work on as a group is to use facial expressions throughout the dances.

1st December

We tried on costumes for Rhythm of Life as well as rehearsing the bigger scenes, none of the costumes I tried on fit therefore I bought one similair to the style of the costumes we tried.

26th November 2014

We rehearsed Rhythm of Life whilst singing and dancing, we also rehearsed the full of the restaurant scene and finished the dance breaks in Rich Man's Frug. We also rehearsed Big Spender.

19th November 2014

We rehearsed both the dance and song for Big Spender at the same time as we hadn't rehearsed them together before with just a piano for accompaniment. We also rehearsed the Rhythm of Life song and who was doing which part. Finally we finished Rich Man's Frug off but we haven't done the dance breaks within the scene yet.

17th November 2014

We blocked act two straight away rather than doing a read through as it is a smaller act.

12th November 2014

We finished big spender and those not already in Rich Man's Frug were added at various points, I learnt 16 counts of Rich Man's Frug before the rehearsal ended.

10th November 2014

We blocked the majority of act one but ran out of rehearsal time before we could finish it. We still have not rehearsed the songs with the blocking yet.

5th November 2014

We finished the Rhythm of Life dance and we rehearsed big spender, some of the other dancers also started Rich Man's Frug. I need to make sure I remember the big spender dance as I was not very sure of the moves this week.

3rd Novemeber 2014

Today we read through act one in preparation of us blocking the act at a later date.
